Song From Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Plagiarised From This 1997 British Song

The film’s song ‘Tere Pyaar Mein’, which the media claims has “taken over the web”, has been copied from a song titled ‘You Woman’ produced by a one-man band named White Town.

When the song was released in January 1997, it shot up to the number 1 position on the UK Singles Chart. Jyoti Prakash Mishra is White Town’s sole member and songwriter.

Isn’t it a shame that Bollywood features plagiarised content too often?

Produced by T-Series, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ features Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Pritam, known as a serial offender in this unethical practice, composed the music for this film.
