@swati_gsThe register’s reach
Bollywood plays to an audience far larger than one country’s — a shared film culture across the subcontinent.
A curated, growing repository of Bollywood films, scenes and statements — with an editorial overlay that examines how Hindi cinema portrays Hindus, faith, families and women.
Gems of Bollywood catalogues clips, films and statements from Hindi cinema and pairs the neutral record with clearly-labelled editorial commentary — criticism & review as per Section 52 of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. The goal is a comprehensive, searchable archive that anyone can browse, alongside analysis that puts recurring patterns in context.
The project is run by Swati Goel Sharma and Sanjeev Newar.

@sanjeevsanskritFilms and clips are organised on neutral browse axes (title, year, people, category) with editorial themes layered on top. YouTube clips are embedded, X posts link to their source, and some videos are uploaded directly. Catalogue metadata is preserved; external media availability depends on its original source.
