He is only following Deoband-Tabligh Jamat’s Umma doctrine. He is also following the legacy of his father Ahmed Hussein Madani who supported Aurangzeb over Dara Shukoh & criticised MA Jinnah for doing disservice to Islam by seeking only a part of India in form of Pakistan when ‘ Muslims had the right to do Tabligh ( propagating Islam with a view to convert) in entire India’. This revelation about Ahmed Hussain Madani views was made by no less than the Muslim social reformer Hamid Dalwai in his book ‘ Muslim politics in secular India’. Maulana Yousuf, the 2nd head of Tabligh Jamat & a close associate of Madani family, had described Nationalism & regional pride as enemies of Islam in a speech he gave in Pakistan in 1965 before the Indo-Pak war. Interestingly , i have an audio of a prominent Tabligh preacher in which he says Pandit Nehru wanted to ban Tabligh Jamat after the late 1940s partition riots but Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the so-called nationalist Muslim & India’s first Education Minister, stopped Nehru since he ( Azad) was a great friend of Maulana Yousuf being a Wahabi himself. India deciding to stop water from flowing towards Pakistan is wrong. It's hatred. - Arshad Madani (President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind). Their hearts beat only for Pakistan, and their true emotions keep surfacing from time to time.
