Shared by @GemsOfBollywood — Someone is seriously misleading the government into bootlicking Bollywood, risking its own credibility. Leaders often rely on advisors for insights into industries they do not directly engage with, but these advisors are clearly misleading them: 1. Cultural Decay: Bollywood's track record is tainted when it comes to culture, family values, and patriotism. 2. Market Confidence Collapses: Despite overt government promotion, Bollywood’s share prices plummet, and films keep flopping. For example, PVR Inox, which depends on Bollywood for 2/3rd of its business, has seen its shares slide sharply. In response, even they are diversifying to reduce reliance on Bollywood. Government endorsement is supposed to boost industries—here, it’s doing the opposite. 3. Public Disgust: Bollywood is increasingly seen as a cesspool of ill-gotten wealth, plagiarism, and betrayal of dharma, nation, and family values. 4. Sins of the Past: Post-Sushant Singh's murder, Bollywood has become synonymous with underworld ties, crime, and its history of shamelessly backing figures like Sanju Baba. In summary, shortsighted pandering to an industry dripping in lust and scandals devalues politicians’ own brand equity. 5. Besharam Rang: Adding to this, after government promoted them, a shocking photo of Raj Kapoor, Sanjay Khan, and others from a Bollywood party has gone viral. In the image, they are shamelessly ogling a completely bare woman. None of the so-called icons stepped forward to deny its authenticity. All the king's men and all the king's horses cannot revive the Bollywood Humpty. We humbly urge our leaders to align with Ram’s Maryada instead of wasting political capital on reviving a morally and culturally bankrupt industry. We share this advice in the most genuine spirit for welfare of nation and our beloved leadership. But we also know— Hindustan me jab tak Sanima hai, log ... @GemsOfBollywood @ajaydevgn
