Jalaluddin Rumi was far from a mystic poet or a healer. He was a well-marketed racist Islamist bigot .

What you read today is not Rumi. It is Coleman Barks' filtered fantasy for Americans who never learned Persian.

Reality:
– Rumi called the world a dark Hindustan to be destroyed "in Turkish style"

– Repeatedly used "Hindu" as a slur for ugly, stupid, lowly, unclean.

– Equated Hindus with black dogs, low slaves, and symbols of filth.

– Saw Turk vs Hindu as spiritual war, where Hindu = enemy of the soul.

– His verses degrade Hindus for just being born in Hindustan.

– Another group that brought out his hate were Africans. Anyone not fair – and he hated them like a mad dog

– He wrote ISIS-grade literature wrapped in Sufi perfume.

And yet Western influencers and naive Hindus fall for his "love and light" branding.

Stop worshipping those who wrote racist hate literature.
