The Madhya Pradesh police chief Kailash Makwana is spot-on here when he says perverted content is one of the main causes of rapes as it has degraded moral values & police action alone can’t prevent rapes. This strengthens @scsb_f call for a strong law that prohibits making of perverted content on the charge of abetting rapes & indulging in anti-national activity with no bail for 3 years & jail term of 10 years or more.

As a first step Save Culture Save Bharat Foundation & @GemsOfBollywood want that the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act be strengthened by provisioning a jail term of 10 years & no bail for 3 years & even attachment of property of the accused.

If this amendment is made & a couple of big fishes are prosecuted it will immediately put fear in the hearts of those who want to make money by degrading our daughters & sisters on screen & are acting in a manner which is worse than Bharat’s external enemies.

But what is needed is the Will to do it with a feeling that our nation is under the biggest internal threat because of such content.

In a positive development the GOI has supported a recent writ petition filed before SC by me @SanjeevSanskrit , @swati_gs & others seeking a strong law to prohibit perverted content. In fact Solicitor General of India Shri Tushar Mehta went a step further to request CJI BR Gavai who heard the plea to monitor our petition as the situation is grave. Eminent advocate @Vishnu_Jain1 , who is the lawyer for our petition, made a very strong plea.

With a proper petition in the court now this is a golden opportunity for @narendramodi Govt to bring strong law to prohibit perverted content on OTT & social media by punishing such content makers & save Bharat from a social & cultural disaster.
