A deeply moving moment for me yesterday – standing with two Hindu tribal widows whose husbands were killed in a brutal communal clash on Holi

Raju Dhurve and Hari Dhurve’s only fault was that they went unarmed to a Muslim dominated village to confront assault on two young Holi revellers earlier that day

They were instead attacked in an ambush – Raju Dhurve was shot dead, Hari Dhurve run over by a tractor. Case was heavily downplayed by media and so-called secular parties when it happened in 2022
