Shared by @UdayMahurkar — Time for Bharat to declare cash-for-jobs as national crime with life imprisonment as punishment. It’s 1 of the root causes of Bharat’s ills. A large number of people in India’s public life take money for facilitating jobs. It’s a vicious circle from which Bharat has to get out.

The first aim of one who pays money to get his job is to start amassing wealth through corruption. This is also the main cause of Bharat’s poverty.

In a landmark judgment, the Gauhati High Court has sentenced former Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) chairman #RakeshPaul to 14 years of imprisonment and fined him Rs 2 lakh for his involvement in a cash-for-job scam related to the appointment of agricultural development officers in Assam.
