Bollywood wouldn’t miss taking a jibe at anything sacred to Hindus, even if they are claiming to make a romantic comedy.
In Ginny weds Sunny, a boy and a girl meet to check if they are a potential match for marriage.
The girl wants to take a year to decide if they have a future. To which, the boy replies: “Your name shouldn’t be Sania. It must be GEETA. Because you only want me to do Karma, without worrying about results.”
Why? Would writers Navjot Gulati and Sumit Arora have dragged Ayats into this scene? Imagine Vikrant Massey going, “Your name should have been Aayat, not Sania. Because Ayat 4.24?”
No one would have laughed on that, for sure.
Girl: Lets keep meeting for year. Then will think of marriage— Gems of Bollywood बॉलीवुड के रत्न (@GemsOfBollywood) September 13, 2021
Boy: Your name shouldnt be Sania. It must be "GEETA": 'Do Karma, don't worry about results'
Why not your name must be "Ayat" – keep as many concubines as per Ayat 4.24
