Instead, it wants you to laugh at the girl’s shocked parents. If they oppose such a blessed union, they are just bigots who don’t deserve our sympathies.
Take this scene from Mimi, for example. Among several other agenda-driven narratives, Bollywood promotes that Love Jihad isn’t a real problem but a silly idea concocted by bigoted Hindu families opposed to love.
