Shared by @UdayMahurkar — This is certainly an eye opener thread @RapperPandit . Thanks for sharing. I have also condemned Nehru for his national security blunders. But appreciating even the smallest of truth is the hallmark of a true patriot if we go by Veer Savarkar’s ideology.

Howsoever strongly we censure Nehru for his blunders we can’t deny his place as an institution builder.

Similarly, if we compare the 3 great patriots, Sardar Patel, Netaji Bose & Savarkar, then evidence clearly shows that Savarkar’s national security vision was superior to the other two. Savarkar predicted partition 10 years before it happened because he had seen that Congress policy of Muslim appeasement at the cost of Hindu rights would encourage Muslim separatism & ultimately lead to Partition.

When Savarkar was preaching against Muslim appeasement in late 1930s Sardar Patel was largely silent due to influence of Gandhiji on him & Netaji recommended curtailment of ‘ Vande Matram’ in response to the Muslim demand along with Nehru both of whom were part of the committee that recommended the curtailment.

In the same vein Savarkar’s view that cow should be seen only as a useful animal & not from the religious point of view was flawed & unbecoming of Savarkar the symbol of Bharat’s cultural nationalism & Guru Golwalkar was correct in opposing Savarkar on the cow issue.

Further, when we target Muslim community & Muslim sections like Deoband for their Pan-Islamic acts & rightly so we must also appreciate Muslim patriots howsoever small of big their numbers might be, especially Muslim soldiers dying for the country.

Nation & adherence to truthfulnesses are supreme when it comes to nation building.
