By attacking Veer Savarkar, the epitome of cultural nationalism and the gold standard of unalloyed patriotism, Arun Shourie has committed an unpardonable sin.

He has aligned with Urban Naxals.

He has aligned with Pan-Islamists.

He has aligned with those who wanted J&K to go to Pakistan.

He has aligned with those who cheer the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.

He has betrayed the legacy of Punya Atmas like Sitaram Goel ji & Ram Swarup ji.

And in doing so, he has sinned against Maa Bharati herself.

This is perhaps the greatest ideological somersault for material gain by any so-called intellectual since independence of India.

A moment of deep pain—this is treachery, not scholarship.

Even when i adored Shourie in his heyday days as a nationalist author i always wondered why he should have attacked BR Ambedkar in his book ‘Worshipping False Gods’ – that Ambedkar who chose Buddhism, a religion of Hindu pantheon, over Islam & Christianity while converting , an Ambedkar who opposed imposition of Article 370 in J&K by Pandit Nehru , an Ambedkar who warned Nehru about China’s nefarious designs, an Ambedkar who attacked Islamists & fanatical aspects of Islam in his book in his 2 books including ‘ My thoughts on Pakistan’.

I compliment my ideological friend @SanjeevSanskrit of @GemsOfBollywood for identifying this betraying streak in Arun Shourie before others when Shourie attacked Ambedkar.
