Initially, I was critical of him, considering his views an outlier. But when I meticulously analyzed each of his assertions, I found that he never presented mere opinions. He simply quoted the oldest scriptures—Veda Samhitas, Nirukta, Ashtadhyayi, Maha Bhashya, six Darshanas, Brahmanas, Charaka, Sushruta—and deduced from them with scientific precision and Yoga Buddhi.

He wrote about electricity, gravitation, and aerodynamics in 1875, at a time when he barely knew any language other than Sanskrit and Gujarati. He was a genius far ahead of his time—talking about Swaraj and Swadesh, giving martial interpretations of Vedic mantras, and igniting the awakening that we now recognize as Hindutva and Ghar Wapsi.

Even Puri Shankaracharya recalled that Swami Karpatri Maharaj—despite ideological differences—once called Maharshi Dayanand a divine avatar of Eeshwar. He also admitted that he dropped the idea of countering Maharshi’s views, as doing so would mean countering Ramanujacharya himself.

Yet, modern Arya Samaj is failing its founder. There are great individuals within, but the organization as a whole does not stand up to the core values of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati.

It must immediately dissociate from its deviations and abandon the anti-Vedic marriage culture introduced in the 1930s. Instead of being an industry that facilitates marriages for fees, it must find Dharmic, non-anti-Vedic ways to sustain itself.

Barring marriages where a Hindu man protects a non-Hindu girl facing existential threats (a real crisis today), why should marriage even be a primary focus of an organization that claims to represent Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati?

And above all, Arya Samaj must forever stop and repent for its past obsession with conducting havans for Bollywood sleaze-makers like Dharmendra and Jeetendra. Until this is done, Arya Samaj remains anti-Dayanand at its core.

There is only one goal Arya Samaj must pursue—revive the Vedas and counter the demographic challenge that Hindus face.

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati must be freed from Arya Samaj label. His views are more global than anyone else I ever read.

He should be mascot of global resurgence of Bharat 🕉️

Pay tributes to Arya Samaj founder, great social reformer & reviver of Vedas, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, on his Jayanti. He was the first person in Hindu Dharma to initiate a structured movement for reconversion of Hindus who had embraced other religions under various circumstances. Before him Chattrapati Shivaji & Swami Vidyaranya ( who reconverted Harihar & Bukka of Vijaynagar Empire) did reconvert Hindus who had embraced Islam but these were individual instances.

Swamiji’s vision continues to guide modern Bharat.
