Watched Dhoom Dhaam!
I love @yamigautam ! It’s a fun movie. I like Pratik Gandhi also.
I liked that wearing seat belt is shown to save life.
However, @GemsOfBollywood has ruined my ability to enjoy fun movies! Now I don’t know is it really the case (because it’s Yami Gautam) or it’s just my mind tricking me. But here are the problems I have with this movie-
1. The first red flag was she justifying lying to parents and would be husband because “this society doesn’t allow women to live ‘freely’”
2. CID shown stupid.
3. Police shown as villains. (I understand there are people like this. But I feel it’s a soft influence to plant distrust in police among people)
4. Showing nice guy as stupid and someone not very attractive. A stripper type acting as attractive and fun. Basically looking down on nice guy.
5. Slyly planting the dialogue “Dogs are afraid of crackers.” It’s such a misfit.
6. Ofcrs the secular angle. They don’t take tips from the successful marriage of their parents. But a Muslim couple have to come and explain how “qubool hain” is supreme commitment!
7. “Your chakras are blocked” dialogue said by a guy who is a cheater, a joker and a loser ex-boyfriend.
8. The drinking, gali dene wali lady, lying sneaking lady to be the “right” kind of lady. (I agree that women who do this are not bad, but having been somewhat like that, I can confidently say it’s not the best way to be! Not something to show in positive light. Important to show its consequences which even I have faced!)
9. Making fun of the studious girl.
10. Girl best friends – cannot happen. Friend sleeps with her ex-boyfriend.
