Victory for Dharma & Law: Big Cash Poker Ad Removed After GAC Intervention

I am pleased to share a significant update regarding my complaint against an advertisement by Big Cash Poker (@BigCash_Live) featuring actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui (@Nawazuddin_S).

The advertisement, which depicted Mr. Siddiqui in a police uniform, implied that gambling (poker) was essential for major crime investigations. Moreover, it included a disrespectful reference to the Shri Bhagwad Geeta, undermining the sanctity of this revered scripture, which holds immense significance in our judicial system, particularly in the context of court oaths.

Despite filing complaints with the Grievance Officers of Facebook, YouTube, and X, no action was taken to remove the video. Consequently, I escalated the matter by appealing to the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) against the inaction of these platforms.

I am happy to report that the GAC has ruled in my favor, and the offensive video has now been removed from YouTube, X (Twitter), and Facebook. This decision safeguards the dignity of law enforcement institutions and reinforces the sanctity of the Bhagwad Geeta in the public sphere.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Grievance Appellate Committee for recognizing the seriousness of this issue and ensuring corrective action. I also sincerely thank @DelhiPolice, @Uppolice, @DGPMaharashtra, and other authorities for their support throughout this process.

A special thanks to Sr. Adv. Makarand D. Adkar Ji for his unwavering guidance and unconditional support throughout this matter. His wisdom and counsel were invaluable in achieving this outcome.

Need for Stricter Oversight:

I urge authorities to establish clear guidelines and stricter oversight to prevent the misuse of police uniforms, official symbols, and revered texts in advertisements and media. Such content undermines institutional dignity and public trust. Proactive measures can help deter future violations and uphold societal values.
