Yesterday I visited Jawahar Nagar in Meerut, where activists recently confronted a pastor and a nun for influencing Hindu families to convert under the guise of free meal distribution (picture 1 and 2).

Just nearby, I found a free tuition centre run by an evangelical NGO (picture 3) and then an office of a pastor named ‘Brahma’ (picture 4). Locals referred to it as ‘Girijaghar Dharmshala’!

Many Hindu families here have already converted. Those who have not told me how converts made a public display of throwing out murtis and pictures of Hindu deities on road.

This is the reality behind so-called service to the poor – using foreign money to spread hate for Hindu Dharma and labelling Hindu deities as satanic through manipulation and fraud.

We are fighting back. @AgniSamaj now has a dedicated chapter in Meerut, a growing hub of illegal conversions.

So far, we have:
– busted several such rackets
— brought back over 50 families into Sanatan fold
— Organised a legal awareness camp with National Human Rights Commission to educate people about loss of constitutional benefits post-conversion

But to keep this fight going, we need committed people on ground and ways to sustain this Yajna. But fight we will.
