Was blessed to pray today with my extended family at the birthplace of my Guru PP Vasudevanand Saraswati (1854-1914), Mangaon, in Konkan. He is one of the most revered Sants of the Datta Parampara after PP Shripad Shri Vallabh, PP Narsinh Saraswati & Swami Samarth of Akkalkot.

More than 120 years ago he did barefoot Brahaman of entire Bharat , from Dwarka to Bengal & from Hardwar to Tanjore. He was offered the Shankaracharyaship of Shringeri Math but he did not accept.

He did penance in Narsoba Wadi near Kolhapur & took Samadhi in Gujarat at Garudeshwar on the banks of Narmada near the Statue of Unity ( Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam) in 1914 in a most Sattvik manner which showed his spiritual stature.

He sat on his seat in the evening in Padmasan telling his followers that he would have left the world next morning & that his body be immersed in the holy Narmada. His body was taken to Narmada banks in Padmasan next morning by his followers & immersed in the river as it merged with the Narmada.

His Samadhi Mandir at Garudeshwar is my key source of spiritual strength & has helped me in treading the righteous path including our @scsb_f ‘s campaign against perverted content on audio-visual platforms which poses the greatest threat to Bharat’s culture & character in the past 1,000 years. We are determined to defeat this monster & its promoters with Swamiji’s blessings.
